Facing problem in essay writing? Need help to complete your task?
Don’t worry; you are at the right place to get your query resolved.
First, let us know what an essay is.
An essay is a focused piece of writing that develops an idea or argument using evidence, analysis, and interpretation.
Essay Writing Process Contains Three Main Stages:-
1. Preparation - Decide your topic, do your research on it, collect all the necessary data related to it and then create an essay outline.
2. Writing - Set out your argument in the introduction, develop it with evidence in the main body and wrap it all up in the conclusion
3. Revision - Check the content- is it organized in a proper way or not, check grammar, and the main thing- check format as well.
The process of essay preparation, writing, and revision is applied to every essay; but the time, effort, and hard work spent on each stage depend on the type of essay we are working on.
For example- If you are given a five-paragraph expository essay for a high school, you probably spend your most time on the writing part but on the other hand if you are given an argumentative essay at a college level, you probably spend more time researching your topic and acquiring data according to your need and develop an original argument before you start writing.
How You Can Prepare Yourself for an Essay Writing?
1) First you need to understand your assignment. What is the goal of an essay? What is the length and time duration given for an assignment? So, there is nothing you required to ask anyone.
2) Define your topic in a proper and simple way so everyone can get it easily. If you are allowed to choose your topic, choose a topic which you already know about.
3) Do your research properly, use all the information provided to you. Collect data from all the sources you get, even secondary data.
4) Come up with your central point or an argument you want to make. Come up with a thesis. A clear thesis is essential for an essay.
5) Create an outline, and prepare a rough structure of your essay in it. So you can map it well.
These steps will make your essay writing easy and keep you on track as you go. Once you get a clear idea about what you want to discuss, in what order, and what evidence will you use, you are all ready to start writing an essay and then you go.
